NORTH FARM

North Farm is a family-run business operated by Robert Lawton, his wife Mary, and their daughter Kathryn (Wigs), who has returned to the farm to take on a managerial role following her brother Jamie's departure. Day-to-day operations are managed by the Farm Manager Gavin Davies.

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Marlborough Downs, close to the village of Aldbourne. The business encompasses dairy, arable, and other non-farming enterprises.

Acquired in 1969, North Farm was expanded with the addition of Eastleaze Farm totalling 405 hectares (1000), with additional land farmed through various agreements bringing the total to 881 hectares (approx 2200 acres).

The soil is predominantly chalk and ranges from middle chalk to flinty clay caps, with elevations between approximately 180m and 240m (600ft-800ft); Some of the land is steep and all is undulating. The average rainfall is 815mm (32").
